Speaking

Dan Rothweil built his cutting edge technology career by leading the power systems group at one of the national Fusion Research facilities, and by producing patented designs at the world’s leading excimer laser development company. He speaks for product-driven companies and organizations that want greater efficiency and profitability.

He presented his first product out on his own, Picnic Pal, the first fully enclosed food tent based, to the Sharks on the ABC Hit Series, Shark Tank. While the sharks didn’t “take the bait,” Dan went on to sell over a quarter of a million units – and climbing. Dan has learned that the principle of PQ3, Price, Quality, Quality, and Quality are critical to the success if any endeavor. It hasn’t always been easy but when you know, understand and visualize your end goals, all the No’s along the journey won’t stop you.

In his presentations, Dan shares what it takes to make a product driven business successful, shares humorous and insightful stories about his experiences and leaves audiences with a new perspective on how to improve successes, minimize failures and improve the bottom line of any product driven business.

Filtering the “idea” List

We all have our own unique list of new product ideas, but which idea is best to start with? In this half day session participants participate in a process where they write down ideas and, through a series of questions, narrow their list down to two or three ideas. As part of the process, each participant receives personal attention to help them to select the right idea to bring to life.

5 Phase Product Development Download

There is a seemingly endless list of details to get a product from concept and into the market place. In this full day seminar Dan will dive into each of the Five Phases and talk about the key deliverables, road blocks and potholes, and how to assess the cost to complete each phase relative to each participant’s product idea.

Raising the Funds

In this half day session, we will talk about ways to raise funds to pay for product development. An entrepreneur has an advantage over corporations in that they can do a lot with very little funds – but its important to know which tasks require outside support and when to pay for an expert.

In his programs, Dan supports each person to be honest and realistic with the plans that are created. These presentations are suitable for Entrepreneurs, inventors and small businesses or Entrepreneurs, team-leaders, project managers and department heads inside corporations. They can be presented as stand-alone programs or as modules in a one or a comprehensive two day program.

At the end of this two day weekend event, attendees have documented and outlined the steps for their project to allow them to move forward with a detailed schedule and check list of action items. The steps to be accomplished will be divided into each of the five phases to bring their idea to market, and will include an understanding of the cost and timeline needed to accomplish each goal.

Dan Rothweil Consulting can help you take it to the next level.
